Meet Our New Leaders-in-Training

Susan Rose, Leader
Ethical Society Without Walls

Ian Caughlan
began his training in March:
Originally from a small town near Erie, PA, Ian now lives in Boston where he is getting his Master of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School. Ian first encountered Ethical Culture through the Chicago Society and was a member there until moving to Boston. "Ethical Culture is important to me because I believe we need communities to help us live the Good Life," says Ian.

James Croft began his training in October:
James Croft grew up in London, traveling to Cambridge, MA to study for his Master's and Doctoral degrees at Harvard. He was inspired to seek training as an Ethical Culture Leader after discovering the writing of Felix Adler, whose vision of the Ethical life he finds thrilling and essential. He hopes he will be able to rouse whole new audiences to consider Ethical Culture a way of life and to make a Society their home.

Paulo Ribeiro
began his training in June:
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Paulo grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey. He has been a member of the Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County since September 2010 and is active on several committees. "I hope to work with others to bring Ethical Culture to national prominence," says Paulo.

Another Leader-in-Training, Mark Wise, began training but has withdrawn from the program.
