Mourning Shannon Jones

We mourn for 7-year-old Shannon Jones, who died peacefully
on Thursday, March 24, after a 7-month struggle with a
rare brain cancer. Her parents are Audrey (Griffin) (formerly
our Youth Group leader) and Nate Jones; her sister is Morgan
(who is almost 6). Her grandparents are ECS members JIM
AND BARBARA GRIFFIN. A memorial service was scheduled for
Monday, March 28. The family would welcome cards. Their
address is 514 Westwood Ave., River Vale NJ 07675. Jim
adds that “the Society has been wonderful with its support —
cards, calls, e-mails, and generous donations.” The Shannon
Jones Trust was the recipient of the Society’s “Giving Tree”
in December, which raised more than $2,600 to help the family
with medical-related expenses not covered by insurance.
