A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO THE AEU MATCHING FUND DONORS
AEU's 2011 fiscal year began with changes and challenges, many stemming from the current economic crisis that has affected the AEU and most non-profit organizations. We, the AEU Board members, chose to work on fundraising in a way that would show our commitment, and to lead by example before we ask for your help.
We set up the AEU Matching Fund and personally committed $25,000 to match contributions from members throughout the movement. Our goal is to raise $50,000. This money will be used to support AEU-sponsored events and programs in Ethical communities, and to build our endowments, thereby preserving the future of the American Ethical Union and strengthening its voice in our larger society.
We have not yet met our goal but each day, with each contribution, we are getting closer. The American Ethical Union would like to publicly recognize the generosity of these friends and members for participating in our Matching Fund Drive and showing their commitment to the American Ethical Union and the Ethical Culture movement in these difficult times.
