AEU URGES INCREASED ASSISTANCE TO UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES
WHEREAS, the United Nations and the United States are presently engaged in a program of technical and other assistance to under-developed countries, and
WHEREAS, there is a greater need than ever for such assistance to enable those nations to improve their standards of living, to promote peace, democracy and better understanding among the nations of the world, and
WHEREAS, it is vitally necessary that such assistance be expedited and increased in these critical areas, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the American Ethical Union in its annual meetings assembled, that the American Ethical Union do all within its power to increase the knowledge of the importance of a program of economic development to world peace and to urge the United Nations and the United States to expand greatly the amount and increase the tempo of assistance to under-developed countries.
