COMMENDS U.S. EFFORTS TO AID DISTRESSED AREAS WHILE URGING GREATER WORLD UNDERSTANDING

RESOLVED that we recognize and commend the patient and courageous efforts of the United States Government to achieve a modus vivendi with other nations and the start that our Government has made toward an imaginative program for helping the peoples of the world to raise their standards of living;

That we call upon our Government to continue unremittingly:

(1) To keep the channels of communication open at Paris, in the United Nations and at any other conference where international understanding may be sought.

(2) To continue its efforts to find a workable system of control of atomic and other weapons of mass destruction.
