AEU URGES LIBERALIZING IMMIGRATION LAWS TO ADMIT DISPLACED PERSONS
WHEREAS the immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 makes invalid and unjust discriminations among peoples, infringes upon the rights of naturalized citizens of the U.S. and does irreparable harm to the struggle for justice and freedom throughout the world. BE IT RESOLVED that this Assembly reaffirm its opposition to the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 in its present form and unanimously call for the enactment of much needed amendments to permit the U.S. to provide a sanctuary for more of the uprooted people of the world.
