Every year since 1967 the Assembly of the American Ethical Union has passed resolutions calling for an end to American armed intervention in Southeast Asia.
We, the 1972 Assembly of the American Ethical Union, again call upon our government to cease immediately all ground, naval, and air attacks in Southeast Asia, to set immediately a definite date no more than three months in the future for total withdrawal of all American armed forces from the area, to cease supplying weapons to any combatants there in accordance with the 1954 Geneva Agreements, and to permit the peoples of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia to determine the form and composition of their own governments without any further intervention.
