1974 - 66th National AEU Assembly

WHEREAS, many lives are lost each year by means of guns either by accident through their inexperienced use or with intent to kill and,

WHEREAS, the United States is the only industrialized country in the world where guns are so prevalent and easily obtainable, therefore be it

RESOLVED that the possession of hand guns should be outlawed, with the exception of those used by law enforcement officers and those serving in allied occupations. The possession of firearms for hunting and sports should be strictly licensed.
