20th ANNIVERSARY MOBILIZATION OF THE 1963
MARCH ON WASHINGTON BY MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

The American Ethical Union, in Assembly on June 17, 1983, endorses the goals and activities of the 20th Anniversary Mobilization, Washington, D.C., on August 27 and 28, 1983 to commemorate Martin Luther King's March on Washington of 1963.

We believe that this Mobilization and the planned work of the New Coalition of Conscience are necessary to improve the civil rights of all oppressed minorities in America and to thereby preserve and improve the civil rights of all Americans.

Adopted by the American Ethical Union Assembly at Hudson Guild, New Jersey, 1983.
