AFFIRMATIVE ACTION WHEREAS, the Supreme Court has taken significant steps toward destroying affirmative action programs, and WHEREAS, the Attorney General of the United States has stated that the Justice Department will investigate and challenge affirmative action programs, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The American Ethical Union affirms its support of affirmative action programs. Adopted by the American Ethical Union Assembly at Emmanuel College, Boston, Massachusetts, 1984
