NON-VIOLENT MEASURES AGAINST TERRORIST ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, Libya's support of terrorist activities and groups inflicted suffering on civilians and violated international law, and
WHEREAS, the United States' military attack against Libya inflicting suffering on civilians and violating international law, can only serve to accelerate the spiral of violence,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
In view of the loss of life and suffering resulting from such actions, the American Ethical Union, call on the United States Administration and Legislature to take every means to avoid further military action and further violence and to seek the end of terrorist activities by diplomatic, political and economic means.
