How we can apply lessons from that struggle as we confront inequality and discrimination today? Howard Feinstein’s experiences took place in a violent world of burning crosses, shotgun blasts, and state-sponsored brutality and intimidation. While today’s challenges may appear less dramatic on the surface, they call on us to exhibit no less a degree of determination and courage.
