#GivingTuesday—the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (December 1, 2020)—is a day when we focus on putting our money where our hearts are. We reflect on the communities we are fortunate to be a part of and the services we wish to expand to provide opportunity and equity to all. Our Ethical Humanist community has faced the many challenges of 2020 head on and continues to prepare for an unpredictable 2021. With your support, we can build a safer and more ethical world together.

The American Ethical Union (AEU), the national federation of Ethical Culture and Ethical Humanist Societies, asks you to make a donation this Tuesday to invest in the Ethical Culture Movement. A gift of $35 or more will support AEU with:

• Creating opportunities to meet other Ethical Humanists nationwide
• Fostering nationally shared programs and Platforms
• Training in managing and organizing our Societies
• Magnifying our impact in social justice campaigns and international coalitions
• Growing our network of Societies with new groups
• Enhancing the public awareness of Ethical Humanism as a life choice
• Advancing young professional leadership

If each person donated just $35 or more, the AEU budget would be fully replenished this year. The cost of running the AEU averages $200 per member. Ordinarily, that’s covered with Society apportionments, gifts and donations but this year has been tough on the AEU and its Societies, even with cost-cutting measures. Let’s bring our AEU into the New Year with the vitality it needs to support our Societies and empower the Ethical Movement!
