Rev. Dr. Carl Gregg, Minister, Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Frederick, spoke on February 22, 2015 at the Washington Ethical Society about “Poetically Dwelling on Earth as a Mortal.”
Carl explored this way of being in the world as one possible path for Washington Ethical Society’s February theme of Duty & Commitment. Carl traced a route by way of Ludwig Feuerbach, an incredibly influential 19th-century skeptical theologian, whose thought (although still deeply relevant) has been largely forgotten. As Friedrich Engels, Marx’s famous collaborator, said, after Feuerbach’s landmark book was published, “we all became Feuerbachians.”
