Volunteer Opportunity: All-Societies Platform Planning Team
ASP Planning Team Support Invitation
The AEU All-Societies Platform (ASP) Planning Team is asking members with skill and interest to join the team.
The ASP team plans and produces a virtual Zoom gathering of all Ethical Culture Societies on the last Sunday of each month with five Sundays — usually five a year. Platforms are public programs of interest and significance to Ethical Culture members as well as to the public. ASP gatherings bring our members together in community and aim to grow the Ethical Culture movement.
The ASP team typically meets for an hour on zoom approximately every six weeks. Additional meetings and rehearsals are scheduled closer to each ASP date.
The following are areas where professional volunteers are invited:
Program Design & Planning – experience in preparing a professional Zoom program.
Speaker Outreach – knowledgeable in inviting and negotiating with speakers for platforms.
Communications – preparing publicity and marketing material for the AEU newsletter and website, press releases, social media, and other channels. Additionally, posting program reviews, press releases, follow-up newsletters to participants.
Video Editing – edit videos for inclusion in the ASP as needed, edit the recorded ASP to publish on YouTube and the AEU website.
Zoom Support – manage waiting room, spotlight speakers, manage screen sharing for static and dynamic content, monitor Zoom chat, manage breakout rooms, manage disruptive participants.
