Submitted to and passed at the AEU 73rd Assembly

Belief in a pluralistic society where individuals are free to practice their religious beliefs as they see fit is a basic premise of Ethical Culture. These beliefs are under attack by extremist forces who threaten the constitutional guarantee of separation of Church and State.

Therefore Be It Resolved that the American Ethical Union reaffirms these beliefs and will support the efforts of the Moral Democracy Center at the New York Society for Ethical Culture
