

The Ethical Action Committee (EAC) brings Ethical Societies together to strengthen Action, create alliances that make Actions more sustainable, and contribute to a sense of community and common purpose across the Ethical Culture Movement.
This position will provide extensive experience in social media communications and online community building for a national non-profit and will allow the intern to cultivate skills relevant for successful career advancement. Applicants should be tech-savvy, organized and self-motivated, and ideal candidates will have a passion for social justice. Intern will work closely with the Ethical Action Committee Chair and Communications Coordinator, and will be encouraged to employ their unique talents and creativity.
Location: Any, most work will be completed online and through check-in calls

Skills & Qualifications
Ability to organize information from multiple sources and edit appropriately for various uses
Collaborative skills and creativity highly valued
Passion for community building and social justice through social media
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Flickr, and Internet research
Experience with WordPress appreciated
Ability to learn new programs quickly and work independently
Strong communications and problem-solving skills
Fluency in spoken and written English
Length of Commitment
Six-months, about 5 hours/week. Flexible Start and end dates.
The position is unpaid, but we encourage students/volunteers to seek educational credit and/or funding externally as available and appropriate. This internship will cultivate skills in social media communications and online community-building that will enhance qualifications for successful career advancement in similar fields.
