Sven Sinclair spoke on March 20, 2016 at the Northern Virginia Ethical Society about “Chess, Exams, and Taxes – How People Cheat and Why.”
NoVES member Sven Sinclair, who is an economist and an avid chess player, will discuss cheating. As Sven says: “Cheating is ubiquitous, although it is almost universally considered unethical. This talk will start from anecdotal examples of cheating in various areas of human activity and will examine why people cheat, how different societies look at cheaters, and what measures are effective at preventing cheating.”
