Whereas the United States Government has steadily increased the presence of military advisors in El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala;

Whereas the United States Government has steadily increased covert operations throughout Central America, notably the C.I.A. activity in Nicaragua;

Whereas the Government of the United States by these policies supports oppression and violence in Central America:

Now, Therefore Be It Resolved that the American Ethical Union deplores our Government’s role in the militarization of Central America and calls for an end to all military aid and intervention – covert and otherwise – in Central America by the United States Government.
