*YOU MUST WATCH THE FILM ON YOUR OWN BEFORE THE EVENT
For Virtual Documentary Night, the Ethical Humanists of Atlanta are inviting to talk about the documentary, Julia Scotti: Funny That Way. With breathtaking emotional honesty, this tender, funny, and powerful portrait of transgender comedian Julia Scotti explores the unrelenting courage and humor it takes to be Julia. This is a Voting Night, which means at the end of the night we brainstorm and vote to decide as a group what we will watch the following month, so please come with recommendations. If you need any ideas, you can search through the flyers HERE on our website.
Again, you must watch the film on your before the event. The Ethical Humanists of Atlanta will be meeting over Zoom where they will break out into small discussion groups. They will do multiple rounds of small group discussion, then close out the night with a larger group discussion. The Zoom information is listed below.

This event is hosted in collaboration with multiple meetup groups, including the Atlanta Social Friends, Austin Documentary Fans, Atlanta Volunteer Meetup, the Ethical Humanists of Atlanta, Sunday Assembly Atlanta, and the Vegan Social Club. Therefore those in attendance will be from varying backgrounds and beliefs. This is in order to provide an opportunity to hear a wide range of perspectives.
This event is open to all who are open to all. The one requirement is that people allow others to get their full thought out and that any disagreement is voiced in a civil way. You can check out the Community Documentary Night website for more info or links to previously shown documentaries.
Thank you and hope to see you there!
