1960 – AEU Alerts Members To Problems Of Aging, Urging Studies And Cooperative Action
Submitted to and Passed at 53rd AEU Assembly, which convened in Philadelphia
The American Ethical Union recognizes as a primary obligation that it must encourage whatever is feasible to alleviate hardships and infirmities of senior citizens who, due to their advancing years, may need a consistent program of self-help. Therefore, the Public Affairs Committees of the American Ethical Union and of the local Societies are urged to study this problem and to cooperate wherever possible.
