Saturday & Sunday – June 20 & 21
Croton Point Park, Croton-On-Hudson, NY

We are delighted to host an American Ethical Union table at the Clearwater Festival! Visit us there and learn more about Ethical Culture and Ethical Action from our members.

Several Societies have collaborated for this event, including Northern Westchester, Riverdale-Yonkers, Westchester, Bergen, Essex, Brooklyn, and New York. A key focus will be Ethical Culture’s Ethical Action efforts. The festival attracts freethinkers from around the region and offers non-profit groups the opportunity to present how their efforts help to heal and transform the world into a better place. Over 50 groups bring a broad range of grassroots issues, exemplified by the environmental, labor, peace and human rights activism of Pete Seeger, to our main stream audience in a comfortable and accessible way.

About the Clearwater Festival:
The festival features diverse music, dance, storytelling and family-oriented programming as well as a juried Handcrafters’ Village, the Artisanal Food & Farm Market, environmental education displays and exhibits, and the Circle of Song where audience participation is the focus. See more at: http://www.clearwaterfestival.org/.

Inspired by Pete Seeger’s desire to clean up the river over forty years ago, Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival initially helped raise the funds to build the sloop Clearwater, which has since become a world-renowned floating classroom and a symbol of effective grassroots action. Today, Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. is a non-profit organization that sails at the forefront of the nation’s environmental challenges. The revenue raised by the Revival goes to support Clearwater’s numerous educational programs and its work toward environmental and social justice—as well as keeping the sloop Clearwater afloat.
