

Are you 15-18 years old and want to become a part of a national and intergenerational community of social justice activists and leaders from across the country? Apply by March 15th for Encampment for Citizenship Summer Program in Amherst, MA July 5-26, 2016.
Encampment for Citizenship was founded in 1946 by then New York Society for Ethical Culture Leader Algernon Black and Alice K. Pollitzer, a prominent civic leader. The summer program provides young adults of many religious, racial, social, and national backgrounds the opportunity to learn “the principles and techniques of citizenship…through lived experience.” Eleanor Roosevelt and Martin Luther King Jr. were active supporters and speakers at the Encampment.
