The Journey to Assembly: Preparatory Business Meetings

The American Ethical Union’s 109th Annual Assembly will convene July 26-28 in Minneapolis, MN. The Assembly Business meeting will be held Sunday, July 28 at 9:00 AM CT. As we continue finding ways forward together, we invite you to join us for several important preparatory meetings:

• AEU Board of Directors Officer Candidate Forum
• FY25 Budget Review
• AEU Bylaws Amendments Review
• Delegate Training

Delegates should attend all preparatory meetings. We will share information, answer questions, and collect feedback on proposed bylaw amendments. If you are a delegate and not able to attend one of the preparatory meetings, we encourage you to provide representation, especially for topics that are of special interest to your Society.

Preparatory meetings are open to all Union members. Preparatory meetings are an excellent way to hear from other Societies and learn what’s planned for the coming year.

Please register for each meeting separately on Zoom and the link will be emailed to you. If you are unable to attend any of these meetings, they will be recorded and the link will be shared so you may view it later.

AEU Bylaws Amendments Review

Monday, July 15, 8:00 – 9:30 PM ET

Several amendments to the AEU bylaws have been proposed for the Business Meeting. Bylaw amendments will be finalized on July 20, 2024. After that deadline, no further edits will be permitted. There will be no changes to proposed Bylaw Amendments at the Assembly Business Meeting, so please bring your questions and concerns to this meeting.
