The Uganda Humanist Schools Trust partners with multiple humanist school directors in Uganda who aim to educate young people with reason, compassion, and tolerance. The Ethical Society of Saint Louis has a 10+ years of connection with UHST, the schools, and their students, and they have witnessed the students’ strength, resilience, and hope.
Currently, the Society financially supports 36 female secondary school students with full tuition and boarding scholarships ($525/year) and we provide a year’s supply of reusable menstrual supplies for all menstruating students in the primary and secondary schools.
Join the Ethical Society of St. Louis for their platform on December 1 to learn about the recent developments at the Uganda Humanist Schools. You’ll leave inspired by the schools’ and students’ promising futures! The Platform address will be streamed on YouTube starting at 11:00 AM CT / 12:00 PM ET.

As always, the Society’s philanthropy efforts will remain focused on funding opportunities for female students. A full year of tuition, room, board, exams, Afripads, and personal school supplies for a single student costs $525 USD. Please consider supporting this great cause at whatever giving level makes the most sense for you at this time.
Checks should be written to the Ethical Society of Saint Louis, with UHST in the Memo line. Contributions made through PayPal on December 1 will be directed to the trust. Alternatively, you can connect with Nancy Jelinek to discuss other funding pathways.
If you wish for your charitable contribution to be counted for tax year 2024, please make your donation by December 31; the Ethical Society will consolidate and wire funds to UHST in mid-January 2025.
