We Are Ethical Culture introduces American Ethical Union members to the history and values of Ethical Culture with an emphasis on contribution to the movement, ethical action, and collaboration among peers. The course will explore Ethical Culture identity — both within the movement and in participants’ personal understanding — while building collaborative relationships through ethical action.
The Fall 2026 cohort of the course will meet on Zoom for four 90-minute sessions, held every other Tuesday from September 29 through November 10.
Participants will complete readings, watch videos, and self-reflect between sessions and should plan to spend approximately two hours preparing for each session. Because the course is highly participatory, registrants are asked to attend all four sessions and engage fully in the coursework. If you are unable to attend more than one session, we will add your name to our waitlist and contact you if there are seats available one week prior to the first session on September 29.
We Are Ethical Culture enrollment is free to AEU member Societies. Previous participants are welcome to return, and priority will be given to members taking the course for the first time. The course requires at least 10 participants and will not be held if the minimum enrollment is not reached by September 21.
This course is offered through the Leadership Training Initiative, a program of the American Ethical Union. Participant coursework and feedback may be shared with the AEU Leadership Committee during and after the course as part of the ongoing development of the initiative.
